My Recent Absence... Explained

Honestly, I've just played way too much Fortnite: Battle Royale...

My recent gaming experiences... PSVR, Fortnite: Battle Royale, and Shadow of the Colossus (2018)

If anyone has actually realized, it has been a little while since I lasted posted anything Star District Gaming related. Either here, Twitter, or Instagram; I’ve put it all on the back burner for little over a month now. One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2018 was to write more and be more consistent with that writing. Whether its video game related for SDG, or for my aspiring comic work, I’ve unfortunately struggled to keep up recently. When I tried to start something like this in early 2017, I ended up stopping after two articles due to work and concentrating more on family. Two things I absolutely put above this, but I do want to try and correct that same lapse I had last year and get back into the flow of writing more reliably. It is tough since I’ve been working an extra day a week at my day job the last month, and when I get home I usually want to spend time with my family, or actually play the games I want to write about. Speaking of playing games, another reason I’ve neglected writing more has been my obsession with Fortnite: Battle Royale. Over the past few weeks, it’s probably taken up 80% of my gaming time (if not also my free time), with the other 20% being a mix of spending time with my new PSVR, starting the Shadow of the Colossus remake, and a little bit of 2017's Golf Story on the Nintendo Switch. On the bright side, this absence has given me plenty to write about for the next few weeks, if I can stay more consistent. Some of the articles may be a little less timely, but between some recent news and impressions of what I’ve been playing, I think I have ideas for a steady stream of content. In all honesty though, I feel this update is meant more for myself; to get me back into writing something and give me a new start, instead of trying to find a jumping on point after my time away. That said, if anyone does read this, I truly appreciate your time. Hopefully I’ll have some thoughts going up soon on different games and news throughout the gaming industry, but until then, I’ll be continuing to get killed A LOT in Fortnite while trying to get my first Victory Royale.

I swear, if I get 2nd place again, I'm going to lose it... but I just can't stop playing
